The Empire ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is involved in your use of our website (vanisempire.com), our Discord community, and our membership services (collectively, the "Services"), and how it is handled.

1. Our Role

We do not directly collect, store, or process most of your personal data on our own servers. Instead, we rely on trusted third-party platforms to run parts of our Services:

  • Payments and membership management are handled entirely by Whop, our third-party payment and membership platform. Whop processes your payment details, email, and billing information under its own privacy policy: https://whop.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • Community interaction takes place on Discord, a third-party platform. Discord processes your username, user ID, messages, and activity within our server under its own privacy policy: https://discord.com/privacy

We encourage you to review both platforms' privacy policies, as they govern the data processed when you sign up, pay, or participate in our community.

2. What We Ourselves May Collect

Beyond what Whop and Discord handle, our direct collection is limited to:

  • Direct contact: If you email us or message us directly (e.g., with a support or refund request), we retain that correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your query.
  • Website analytics/cookies (if used): Our website may use basic analytics tools (e.g., to see visitor numbers or page views) or essential cookies to make the site function properly. Where these are used, they may collect general data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited. We do not use this data to individually identify you.
  • Testimonials: If you provide a testimonial or result screenshot for display on our website or marketing, we will only publish it with your permission, and you may request its removal at any time.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not maintain a separate customer database beyond what is described above.

3. Why We (or Our Third Parties) Process Your Data

Personal data connected to the Services is used to:

  • Process your membership payment and manage your subscription (via Whop);
  • Provide access to our Discord community and moderate it appropriately;
  • Respond to support requests or refund inquiries;
  • Improve our website based on general visitor analytics (if enabled);
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and payment records held by Whop).

4. Data Retention

  • Payment and billing records are retained by Whop in line with their own retention policy and applicable law.
  • Discord messages and activity are retained per Discord's own policy and our server's moderation settings.
  • Any direct correspondence with us (e.g., emails) is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your inquiry, after which it may be deleted.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under US GDPR or similar data protection laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Because most of your data is processed by Whop and Discord:

  • For payment/billing data, please contact Whop support directly, or manage your details via your Whop account dashboard.
  • For Discord activity data, please refer to Discord's own privacy settings and support channels.
  • For anything we hold directly (e.g., email correspondence or a testimonial you submitted), you can contact us via Discord and we will action your request within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

7. International Users

Our Services may be accessed from various countries. By using the Services, you understand that your data may be processed by Whop and Discord in accordance with their own policies, which may involve data transfers outside your home country.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the platforms we use. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
